A freeware utility to spoof MAC address instantly
There may be situations in which the MAC address of a specific device needs to be located. This document will show how to locate the MAC address for the Microsoft Windows 7 operating system. For all other devices, please refer to the manufacturer. Click the Start (Windows logo) button on the bottom left side of the screen. Click on Control Panel. I am unable to locate the MAC address in a new computer with Windows 7. I've tried ipconfig /all in the console to which I got no items match your search. I also tried getmac. A screen flashed very briefly with what appeared to be the information, but it was not there long enough to read. The MAC address ( the low-level network interface address) doesn't survive hops through IP routers. You can't find the client Mac address from a remote server. In a local subnet, the MAC addresses are mapped to IP addresses through the ARP system. Interfaces on the local net know how to map IP addresses to MAC addresses.

Technitium MAC Address Changer allows you to change (spoof) Media Access Control (MAC) Address of your Network Interface Card (NIC) instantly. It has a very simple user interface and provides ample information regarding each NIC in the machine. Every NIC has a MAC address hard coded in its circuit by the manufacturer. This hard coded MAC address is used by windows drivers to access Ethernet Network (LAN). This tool can set a new MAC address to your NIC, bypassing the original hard coded MAC address. How Does It Work?
This software just writes a value into the windows registry. When the Network Adapter Device is enabled, windows searches for the registry value 'NetworkAddress' in the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlClass{4D36E972-E325-11CE-BFC1- 08002bE10318}[ID of NIC e.g. 0001]. If a value is present, windows will use it as MAC address, if not, windows will use the hard coded manufacturer provided MAC address. Some Network Adapter drivers have this facility built-in. It can be found in the Advance settings tab in the Network Adapter's Device properties in Windows Device Manager.
