Exchange 5.5 -> 2003: mailboxes are transferring but clients down now!
We have NT 4.0/Exch 5.5 server (MAIL) and a Server 2003/Exchange 2003(MAIL1) server to which we are migrating. We went through all thesteps last night for the migration, and the install completedsuccessfully. Then we started the mailbox transfer. A couple usershave 20GB mailboxes, and this is taking over 30 hours to transfer.I've tested users whose mailboxes have already transferred, and theirOutlook is automatically looking at MAIL1 now.However users whose mailboxes are in the proceess of transferring havestrange behavior. I have a publisher document that I think was created in Publisher 97/98. My problem is that the only version I have is 2000 or XP and I need to open this newsletter. Is there any point in using the 64-bit compatibility check switch at this time? I know that the backup file for 2005 will not restore in a previous version without the password error. WPM 10 now wont play purchased WMA files from msn music.
I have over 200 WMA files purchased form MSN music but now they wont play. They worked fine before and I have had no hardware changes to my pc and have been using WMP 10 for some time. I got the message 'Secure storage protection error. Restore your licenses from a previous backup and try again.' I tried this by going tbut got the same message. Do both people have to have the same version of Outlook running in order for Tasks and Appointments to sync up properly when emailed between clients?I'm seeing some irregularities between someone running Outlook in Office 2000 and mine which is part of Office 2003. Appointments with reminders sent from Office 2002 or later will show up as text in Outlook 2000 unless a hotfix is applied to the Outlook 2000 installation. Anyone have a powershell script that will backup all protection groups that have long term protection configured immediatly (and save for ## months)? I have a me machine with an OEM office 97 package. I purchased a stand alone version of publishier 2000. While installing I enter the product code and since I do not have internet on that machine I called got a number, read it back, double checked it etc. typed it in and it says the number is not valid. so I say OK and get into publisher, look at the HELP>ABOUT and it shows my OEM product id. how can I get it to keep the right number?
